OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 May 2009 was announced, that the Turkmen capital hosts the traditional 8th International exhibition "White City - Ashgabat".

The display in the Sergi Koshgi Exhibition Palace demonstrates achievements, prospects and potential of Turkmenistan in the sphere of urban development, and tells about the development of the tourism industry, innovations in the field of high technology, transportation, communications, trade, etc. For the first time, the annual show is widely represented by non-state sector of the national economy. The Turkmen businessmen operating in a wide range of industries from the production of consumer goods and services to the construction business displayed their pavilions.

A few dozens of companies from the Russian Federation, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries are among the foreign participants of the exhibition.

President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov sent a welcoming address to the participants and organizers of the exhibition and expressed confidence that the event "will show the world the accomplishments of the friendly Turkmen people aspiring to achieve great objectives of the era of the new Revival".

The International "White City - Ashgabat" exhibition will last three days. The City Hall and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan are the organizers of the event.
