On 20 May 2009 was announced, that experts of the Ministry of Economic Development of Karelia together with the leading travel agencies of the republic - Lukomorie, Kolmas-Karelia, Conference-Breau and Quantum represented tourist potential of republic at the 9th Moscow international tourist fair MITF-2009 held as an official action of the Government of Moscow.

Within the scope of the exhibition experts of the Ministry of Economic Development took part in the round table discussion of the subject of Creation of Joint Tourist Pograms for Dvelopment of Inbound and Domestic Tourism in Regions of Russia and Rural Tourism as a Factor of Social and Economic Development of the Region workshop conference.
