OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 May 2009 was announced, that leading European valves manufacturer MSA, which is part of “Trunk pipeline equipment” business unit at oilfield service company Rimera (OFS division of ChTPZ Group, Russia), had appointed Nikolai Ovchinnikov as Executive Committee Chairman.

In new role Nikolai Ovchinnikov will be responsible for developing MSA’s sales to Russian oil & gas and energy companies. Former Executive Committee Chairman Yozef Leshchishin will continue in Executive Committee and will concentrate on developing sales of CHTPZ’s pipe and oil services products through MSA’s distribution channels. Also Mr. Leshchishin will be responsible for rising purchasing effectiveness and development of new plant’s product strategy.

Before joining Rimera Mr. Ovchinnikov spent 28 years in one of the largest heavy machinery companies – Uralmash. There he was promoted from foreman to engineering head.

Rimera’s management is sure that N. Ovchinnikov’s successful track record in production and management will further contribute to strengthening ties between company’s plants. As comments to his appointment N. Ovchinnikov said that he sees his main goal in developing and executing long term strategy for MSA, which will make it one of key assets in business unit “Trunk pipeline equipment” at oilfield service company Rimera.
