OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 May 2009 was announced, that the first service between St-Petersburg and Moscow was operated by new A319. Airbus with the registration number VQ-BAU became the ninth in the family of A320.

During the last three months ROSSIYA has already put three Airbus aircrafts into operation. The process of renovation will continue throughout 2009. According to the plan of air fleet renovation 90% of flights will be operating by international aircrafts during this year.

Medium-haul A319 was acquired under leasing agreement with the VTB-Leasing company. The aircraft can accommodate 128 passengers: 120 passengers in economy class, and 8 in business class. A319 will be used on the domestic and international routes.

During the operation Airbuses A320 demonstrated their reliability, comfort and high fuel efficiency. ROSSIYA expects that passengers will appreciate all the benefits of foreign aircrafts and will be glad to travel on board of A319.
