OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 May 2009 was announced, that Transaero Airlines had opened another Business Lounge at Domodedovo International Airport. It’s the airline’s third lounge for business class passengers at its main hub. The Lounge is located in the airport’s International Departures area and will primarily serve Transaero’s charter flights passengers.

The Business Lounge can accommodate several dozen travelers simultaneously. Those using the lounge can take advantage of beverages, snacks and fresh fruit as well as periodicals and newspapers. Passengers can also relax in the many roomy armchairs or watch widescreen TV.

“For Transaero, as the largest Russian leisure air carrier, it is quite important to provide all charter passengers traveling in business class with the very best accommodations and service not only in the air, but also on the ground. The opening of our new Business Lounge marks another very important step forward in our commitment to service quality improvement,” says Transaero Airlines General Director Olga Pleshakova.

For summer 2009, Transaero is offering a broad ranging charter program that includes flights from Domodedovo to Bulgaria (Burgas, Varna), Croatia (Dubrovnik, Pula), Cyprus (Larnaca), Greece (Araxos, Heraklion, Kerkyra, Kos, Rhodes), Italy (Treviso), Montenegro (Tivat), Portugal (Faro), Spain (Ibizza, Malaga, Palma-de-Mallorca), Turkey (Antalia) and to the United Arab Emirates (Dibao).

In addition, Transaero has announced that starting from May 26, 2009, all Transaero flights previously operating from Sheremetyevo International Airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal C will now operate from Terminal 2.

Moving to Sheremetyevo 2 provides Transaero’s transit passengers with the convenience and opportunity of better access to the expanded route network at Terminal 2. The change also enables passengers to reach Moscow by the new Aeroexpress trains connecting the airport to points in the city centre in just 40 minutes, saving time and avoiding traffic. Trains run hourly between Sheremetyevo 2 and the centre.

This summer, flights are available from Sheremetyevo on Transaero Airlines to the following destinations: Tel – Aviv in Israel (in addition to two daily flights on this route from Domodedovo), Antaliya in Turkey (in addition to two daily flights on this route from Domodedovo), Simferopol in Ukraine and Dalaman in Turkey.
