OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 May 2009 was announced, that delegation from Vologda Oblast led by Deputy Governor Mr.Grachyov takes part in the world's leading showcase for woodworking equipment, machinery and wood products LIGNA+, held on May 18-22, Hannover (Germany).

The aim of LIGNA+ is to highlight the myriad applications of wood as a material, and to present the full range of technologies developed worldwide for the processing of timber into wood products of every kind. It provides a unique opportunity for the whole global timber industry to meet, network, negotiate, conduct business and stay abreast with the latest developments in the forestry and timber industries.

This year Russia is due to represent the activity of four RF subjects, the RF Union of Timber Manufacturers and Exporters, and the Federal Forestry Agency.

The visitors to the exhibition will be able to get acquainted with the economy of the Vologda Region, its forestry and timber industries, and investment projects of the leading enterprises of the region.
