OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 May 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh IJSC paid insurance compensation of over RUR 1 mln to the Yantar farm (Astrakhan region) for the agricultural equipment (drip irrigation system AIK-AGRO) that was destroyed by the fire.

The equipment was insured in May 2007 by the branch of Ingosstrakh IJSC in Astrakhan. The contract was signed till 2010 by the branch of Ingosstrakh IJSC in Astrakhan. It covered natural disasters, technological explosions, illegal acts by third parties, thefts and robberies, fire, stroke of lightning, gas explosion. The insured event was a fire that happened in October 2008 and that fully destroyed the irrigation system.

The insured equipment was a collateral on a loan extended by the Astrakhan regional branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank.

The branch of Ingosstrakh IJSC in Astrakhan has been cooperating with the Yantar Farm since 2007. During this time, Ingosstrakh insured agricultural machinery and equipment, vehicles and towing equipment, as well as animals (large cattle, lambers). According to Vladimir Gerdt, Director of the Farm, “we are very happy with our cooperation with Ingosstrakh. Damages were repaid in full and rather quickly thanks to fast and professional actions of the employees of the Astrakhan branch and the central office of the insurance company”.
