Sviaz-Bank’s branch in Novosibirsk offers recipients of pensions and other social benefits an opportunity to transfer their pensions and benefits to their accounts and make deposits with the Bank, if they wish so, under a contract they sign with the branch through the Novosibirsk regional division of the national Pension Fund, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

The Novosibirsk branch credits pensions and other benefits to Pension Plus accounts that can be opened with the branch and the Bank’s auxiliary offices at the city’s post offices. Interest is paid on the account balance at a rate of 5.25% per annum. Account owners can also withdraw whatever amounts they want from their accounts without losing any of the interest accrued.

Depositors who want to have a higher interest, can choose any open-end account from the Bank’s product line. Moreover, every pensioner who opens an account before May 31, 2009, is issued a Golden Mean discount card offering discounts between 3% and 10% of the purchase price, depending on card type and kind of trading outlet. More than 700 companies and enterprises in Novosibirsk have signed on the Golden Mean discount and bonus system.
