OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 May 2009 was announced, that since May 2nd Moscow International Airport Domodedovo has been welcoming guests and participants of the "Eurovision - 2009 Song Соntest" that will be held for the first time in Russia.

Representatives from Belgium, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sweden, Israel, Malta, Andorra, Slovakia and Ireland have already arrived at Domodedovo. The airport is to receive a total of 60 regular flights with official delegations of the 54th "Eurovision" contest during the period from May 2nd to 14th 2009.

The airport is greeting its guests with sunny weather, and bright colorful flags of the contest. Each delegation is met and accompanied to "Eurovision" buses by airport representatives, volunteers or members of the organizing committee.

For fans and spectators there are special informational desks where they can seek assistance.

Moscow International Airport Domodedovo has many years of experience in welcoming large numbers of passengers. One of the last large-scale events was the UEFA Champions League in May 2008, when the airport was visited by over 15 000 football fans.
