OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 May 2009 was announced, that labour protection week, an event that traditionally takes places on the eve of world labour protection day, was marked at Interpipe mills (22-27 April).

Over the past year, Interpipe has initiated a set of measures aimed at improving the quality of the Company’s work places as well as reducing the risk of industrial accidents. Special attention was devoted to the provision and usage of respiratory apparatus and providing industrial areas with the necessary safety signs and first aid kits.

As part of labour protection week, Interpipe organised consultations and seminars aimed at securing good working conditions and observing the demands of industrial safety at the Company.

Labour protection week ended at Interpipe with awards being given for “Best workshop” and “Best employee”.
