OREANDA-NEWS. May 07, 2009. Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL) of the Council of Europe is satisfied with the level of fight against money laundering and counteraction to financing terrorism in Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed on opening the Government’s sitting.

The Premier underlined such positive result proves that the Gov’t exerts all the efforts to curb economic crimes.

“Firstly through its history Ukraine has gained the top mark of activity in this direction. Earlier the work of our country in the direction of counteraction to money laundering has been rather poor,” Yulia Tymoshenko disclosed.

According to her, the Gov’t will further take necessary measures to combat corruption within the state.
