OREANDA-NEWS. May 07, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) instructed its regional offices to verify compliance with the antimonopoly legislation on the regional markets of distribution of alcohol products, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

According to the instructions, the regional offices must, in particular, analyse the regional normative legal acts, regulating distribution of alcohol products on the regional markets.

Earlier, upon a petition of the Association of Retailing Companies (AKORT), FAS Russia initiated a case against the Krasnodar Regional Authority for violating Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition".

FAS Russia suspects that the Krasnodar Regional Authority violated the law by adopting certain acts that lead to restricting competition on the market of distribution of alcohol products in the region.
