OREANDA-NEWS. May 07, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated proceedings against the "Kavminvody'avia" Federal State Unitary Aviation Enterprise (Mineralnie Vody) for violating Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (which prohibits abusing dominant position), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS Russia suspects that "Kavminvody'avia" violated the law by avoiding to provide slots (time intervals for aircraft' arrivals and departures) for "UTair" Airlines" OJSC in the airport of Mineralnie Vody.

The case was initiated upon a petition of "UTair" Airlines" OJSC.

"Kavminvody'avia" has dominant position on the market of services for aircraft' landing and taking off , and servicing air transportation. According to FAS Russia, the actions of "Kavminvody'avia" have resulted, or can result in restricting competitions on the market of air passenger transportation on the Moscow - Mineralnie Vody - Moscow route and (or) infringing the interests of other economic entities.
