OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 May 2009 was announced, that installation of thermal energy measuring devices in municipal establishments of Ust Ilimsk has allowed to save more than 6 million rubles of budgetary funds. According to the press service of the city administration, this was declared by Acting Head of the city Vakil Tulubaev at the expanded meeting with heads of budgetary establishments following the results of the heating season 2008-2009 and preparation for the next season. According to his words, cultural establishments saved RUR 1 million 80 thousand; public health services establishments saved RUR 4 million 300 thousand; sports objects saved RUR 1 million 400 thousand.

As a whole, according to Tulubaev, the heating season passed without serious faults and failures. Up to the end of the year the authorities of Ust Ilimsk plan to cut expenses by 15%. "No special efforts are needed to save energy," Vakil Tulubaev said. "You should just observe elementary rules which are widely known since childhood: "When leaving, turn off the light", "Do not waste heat", "Do not waste water - it is a source of life".

Chief of Ust-Ilimsk branch of JSC Irkutskenergo - "Energosbit" firm Ivan Kargapoltsev said that in summer energy consumption remains at the same level, like in the winter though daylight hours considerably increase. "It is especially strange to observe this in educational establishments which in the summer actually do not work,” Kargapoltsev said. "It is also necessary to pay attention to consumption of hot water. Our experts have calculated that refusal of it during the summer period in all budgetary establishments, except for public health services, will allow to cut expenses by two million rubles".
