OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 May 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh paid insurance compensation to the amount of USD 195k to one of the largest rice and fruit suppliers in the Russian market – OOO Prodprogramma Impulse (trademark ProdGamma). The payment was made under the cargo insurance contract signed by the branch of Ingosstrakh in Novosibirsk.

During transportation by sea on the New Star vessel from Thailand to Nakhodka over 400 of 5000 tons of rice got soaked in the sea water and were recognized as unfit for sale. The freight was damagedе because of  the defects in the holds of the vessel. The captain of the New Star was unwilling to settle and left the Russian port without the permit from the Russian border authorities, captain of the port and navigation management center.

Thanks to the insurance protection, the freight owner received compensation for the damage in a short time.

Ingosstrakh and Prodprogramma – Impulse have been cooperating for six years now.
