OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 May 2009 was announced, that a delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan led by prime minister Rustam Minnihanov offered Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a number of specific cooperation proposals. OAO KamAz director general Sergey Kogogin, OAO Tatnef director general Shafagat Tahautdinov, OOO Head Company Car Holding director general Hamis Mahyanov, OOO Invent director general Elbek Safayev presented their proposals at a meeting with the president of Turkmenistan.

Tatarstan partners expressed readiness to join the project on creating the international Avaza resort on the Caspian Sea coast, the press service of the Turkmen president said. They also proposed to establish cooperation in power engineering, specifically in supplies of special equipment.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov informed them that Turkmenistan plans to purchase 800 KamAZ vehicles in the near future. He also signed a resolution authorizing the purchase of 400 KamAZ 65115 vehicles and spare parts for them to the amount of USD  22 million.
