OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 May 2009 was announced, that “Lenexpo Cup” tournament was conducted at “Hipposphere” exhibition on May 2, 2009.

The first place in show jumping among amateur sportsmen was given to Elena Kovalchuk from Moscow, “Svetchinsky” horse club. Tatyana Surkova, the deputy director of JSC” Lenexpo” presented her the Cup.

The winner was also awarded with a medal and a rosette for her horse by Vasileostrovsky District administration. Elena was also given several certificates from sponsoring companies. Vyacheslav Shpakovsky, winner’s coach, also got an equipment certificate.

The second place was given to Stepan Annich, from Moscow, “Svetchinsky” horse club.

The third place was taken by Darya Korotkevitch from St. Petersburg. Darya didn’t represent any sport club and performed individually. One of the publishing houses awarded her horse with a new horsecloth. The horse has managed to achieve excellent results only due to a long period of training and hard work; originally it was not a contest animal.

This tournament was a successful debut for Elena Kovalchuk and Stepan Annich as they participated in “Hipposphere” exhibition for the first time. They took the risk, came to St. Petersburg and won.

All tournament participants of “Lenexpo Cup” were given encouraging prizes and their horses got special Dutch licks enriched with vitamins.
