Next Sitting of Ukrainian-Russian Committee to Be Held in September
OREANDA-NEWS. On April 30, 2009 The Governments of Ukraine and Russia have agreed to hold the next sitting of Economic Cooperation Committee in September of 2009. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko disclosed during a joint press conference with the Head of Government the Russian Federation Volodymyr Putin on the outcomes of the work of the Committee.
According to the Head of Ukrainian Government, on achieved understandings the following sitting of the Committee will take place in Ukraine. Yulia Tymoshenko underlined the Government of Ukraine is keen on furthering constructive, predictable and stable cooperation with the Russian Government. The Ukraine’s Premier stressed on the importance and practical use of such consultations under conditions of the world financial turmoil. The Head of the Government explained regular character of meetings with the Russian colleagues prove that relations between the countries are becoming more predictable and stable, yielding results along all directions of cooperation.
Yulia Tymoshenko underlined importance of the signed intergovernmental protocol on supplies of goods at the industrial cooperation in 2009 as it envisages special privileged conditions to ensure supplies of materials and component parts. The Premier emphasized it gives additional element of stability to machine-building enterprises of the two states, operating in aviation and space exploration. “We attribute great significance to the signed today document,” Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized. Besides, she announced the Governments have agreed to strengthen joint activity in developing nanotechnologies and are planning to elaborate a special cooperation program in this area.
Yulia Tymoshenko thanked to Volodymyr Putin for the support in solving all the issues and expressed gratitude to governmental teams of the two states for the effective activity.
