OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 April 2009 was announced, that according to the first quarter 2009 results the passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 1 102 554 people, which is 12,7% less than it was during the same period in 2008, including:

International airlines passenger traffic to foreign countries had a total enrolment of 449 890 people, which is 11,6% less than the number of passengers carried during the same period in 2008.

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 553 570 people, which is 15,9% less than during the first quarter of 2008.

Passenger traffic to the countries of CIS increased by 4,1% and had a total enrolment of 99 094 people.

The number of takeoff and landing operations decreased by 11,4% in the first quarter of 2009 and had a total enrolment of 17 355 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 605 651 tons, the decrease is 9,4% as compared with the same period in 2008.

Results of March 2009

According to March 2009 results the passenger traffic of Pulkovo Airport had a total enrolment of 390 870 people, which is 14,7% less than the activities of March 2008, including:

International airlines passenger traffic to the foreign countries in March 2009 had a total enrolment of 152 129 people, which is 17,5% less than the number of passengers, carried in March 2008.

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 204 490 people, which is 14,5% less than in March 2008.

Passenger traffic to the countries of CIS decreased by 1,2% and had a total enrolment of 34 251 people.

The number of takeoff and landing operations decreased by 9,6% in March 2009 and had a total enrolment of 6 053 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 210 984 tons, the decrease is 9,2% as compared with the same period in 2008.
