OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 April 2009 was announced, that in the International airport of Astana there was presented new passenger flight Kiev-Astana-Kiev.

The event was visited by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine in Kazakhstan Nikolay Selivon, representatives of the Ministry of transport and communications of Kazakhstan and airport.

“I was upset that there are no flight Astana-Kiev. Our relations recently have advanced. Last year trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Ukraine increased up to USD 4,2 bln. More than half million of ethnic Ukraine people are living in Kazakhstan and renewed flights will stimulate strengthened economic, financial and cultural connections between two nations”, - said N. Selivon.

Transport operator is Ukraine company “AirSwift”. Flights are once a week on Boeing 373 liner.  From May it is planed to increase the number of flights tow times.
