OREANDA-NEWS. April 30, 2009. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan registered reduction of money mass (M2) for Jan-Mar 2009 by AZN 1.34 bn (22.04%) with its year-on-year rise of AZN 312.7 million (7.06%). In December 2008 growth made AZN 568.2 million (10.3%) and for 2008 – AZN 1.985 bn (48.5%).

The CB reports that as of 1st April 2009 M2 index totaled AZN 4.74 bn versus AZN 5.26 bn by 1st March, AZN 5.59 bn by 1st February, AZN 6.08 bn by 1st January of 2009 and AZN 4.246 bn by 1st March of 2008.

For Jan-Feb 2009 cash money mass (M0) declined by 11.5% (AZN 478.8 million) with year-on-year rise of 42.9% (AZN 1.1 bn).

As of 1st March 2009, M0 index reached AZN 3.666 bn versus AZN 3.896 bn by 1st February 2009, AZN 4.145 bn by 1st January 2009 and AZN 2.565 bn by 1st March 2008.

By 1st April 2009 broad money supply (M3) totaled AZN 6.397 bn against AZN 7.328 bn by 1st March, AZN 8.009 bn by 1st February, AZN 8.49 bn by 1st January of 2009 and AZN 6.195 bn by 1st March 2008, while transaction money AZN 4.088 bn versus AZN 4.528 bn, AZN 4.727 bn, AZN 5.145 bn and AZN 3.399 bn respectively.
