OREANDA-NEWS. April 29, 2009. Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. has been honoured with Artistic Award of the President of Gdynia - Gdynian Galion in the "cultural patronage" category.

The prize was awarded for supporting artistic initiatives of local creators’ environment and sponsoring which helps Gdynia being the home for most attractive cultural evants for many years now. It summarize achievements of gdynian port on this field in 2008. It's worth mentioning that Port Gdynia is actively involved in supporting local art and culture for many years, as it was highlighted during the ceremony held in Hotel Nadmorski.

Andrzej Maсkowski - sceenplay writer, composer, film director and producer received the award for artistic activity, while in "dissemination of culture" category - Verbi Causa - Maіgorzata Sokoіowska’s publishing office. First award was granted for the year 1995. Since 2006 it’s named "Gdynian Galion".
