IIC Premiums Overtopped AZN 3 mln in 1Q
OREANDA-NEWS. April 24, 2009. The International Insurance Company (IIC) that has marked seven-year anniversary recently reports of positive results of activity in the first quarter of the year in despite of the crisis at world markets, reported the press-centre of International Bank of Azerbaijan.
IIC informs that according to its preliminary data, premiums for the first quarter totaled around AZN 3.1 million.
“Apart from perfect volume that exceeded our expectations we could diversify an own portfolio. It is balanced between different insurance types. We have well-developed car, farm and medical insurances. Simultaneously, we are increasing requirements to the portfolio. Serving 12,000 clients on medical insurance we are working on this portfolio’s quality as well,” - IIC indicated.
In 2008 IIC premiums reached AZN 15.44 million and paid compensations AZN 4.07 million. Company’s charter capital for AZN 8.8 million was paid by the country’s largest bank – International Bank of Azerbaijan.
