OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 April 2009 Far East Telecom (RTS: ESPK, МICEX: DLSV, OTC USA: FEEOY, Frankfurt and Berlin stock exchanges: D7A), the largest telecommunications operator in the Far East, announced that the decision was adopted at a Board of Directors meeting on April 16 to hold the Company’s annual general shareholders meeting for 2008.

By decision of the Board of Directors, the annual general shareholders meeting is to be held on June 10, 2009 as a regular meeting to be attended by shareholders to discuss items on the agenda and adopt decisions on issues which are put to vote.

The record date for those eligible to attend the meeting is April 24, 2009.

The venue and the time when the meeting is held will be approved at the meeting of the Company’s Board of Directors on April 27, 2009 and disclosed in accordance within the prescribed legislative deadline.
