50 Employees of Oranta Took Part in UN Zelena Toloka
OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 April 2009 was announced, that 50 employees of Oranta’s head office and Kyiv city directorate together with the representatives of the UN in Ukraine and the volunteers of other UN Global Compact member companies participated in the environmental activity - large-scale cleaning event- Zelena (Green) Toloka, organized in partnership with Krayina Mriy (Country of Dreams) Ethnical Festival.

“This year our activity has a very good name – Toloka, because traditionally it was organized for tasks requiring immediate effort. Taking care of the environment today is one of the most urgent tasks in which all the stakeholders have a role to play including Government, business, civil society, and every one of us”, said Ms. Ilaria Carnevali, a.i. United Nations Development Programme Officer.
The program of the event also featured the performance of the ethnic music group Gulyay Gorod. The show aroused a lot of positive emotions and rejuvenated the tired volunteers after the cleaning activities.
