Aircraft Domain Will Be Key Issue of Ukrainian-Russian Talks
OREANDA-NEWS. On April 27, 2009 Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced one of the priority issues for Ukrainian-Russian negotiations in Moscow will be the topic of deepening cooperation in the area of aircraft domain. The Premier of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed journalists.
Yulia Tymoshenko reminded on April 29 the Ukrainian governmental delegation will leave for Moscow to participate in the fourth sitting of Ukrainian-Russian Committee on Economic Cooperation. She noted this trip will be crucial as it is planned to maintain bilateral relations in the aircraft domain: “It is of great significance as back from the Soviet times Ukraine and Russia has been in tight intellectual and industrial cooperation in the area of construction of planes, long awaited by the world markets”.
According to Yulia Tymoshenko, during the Moscow visit it is planned to sign respective agreements on cooperation in aircraft area.
The Premier added another document for signing will be intergovernmental protocol on supplies of goods under the industrial cooperation in 2009, directed to improvement of conditions of receiving necessary component parts from Russia by Ukrainian enterprises. The Head of Government stressed it is stipulated by the fact that the part of Ukrainian enterprises is not functioning properly through the problems with obtaining necessary components, especially in machine-building area.
Also the topic of pumping up Russian gas into Ukrainian gas storages is on the agenda. As Yulia Tymoshenko put it, Ukraine has to pump 19.5 cubic meters of gas necessary for stabilization of Ukrainian gas market.
Yulia Tymoshenko added the following year Ukraine has to continue a good tradition started in 2008 to pump up own gas in its storages. According to the PM, with gas in store Ukraine will be protected from challenges of the crisis.
Moreover, she said, in the course of the visit to Moscow it is planned to sign long-term agreements on nuclear fuel supply. At this, she added, such agreement will contain concrete criteria of price calculation.
In whole, according to Prime Minister, around 20 issues of bipartite cooperation are planned to discuss in the course of Moscow visit.
