In a joint exposition representing Lithuanian transport system with the area the same as last year of 135 m2, 12 Lithuanian transport companies exhibited their services, including 8 companies from Klaipeda port.
For the tenth year already Klaipeda port stevedoring, ship agents, chartering and forwarding companies took part in TransRussia with a joint stand. The exposition area of Klaipeda port was 56 m2. The interest of Klaipeda port companies in Russian market remains due to the growth of cargo flows of this country via Klaipeda port: in 2006– 1,3 mil tons of Russian cargo and in 2007 two times more – 3,1 mil tons of Russian cargo. In 2008 still bigger volumes were transported via Klaipeda port (3,9 mil t) due to the increase in Russian internal railway tariffs and great congestion in Russian ports.
