KAMAZ Works Like Clockwork under Crisis Conditions
OREANDA-NEWS. April 24, 2009. The KAMAZ mother assembly conveyor and production units on the whole performed a task for April to produce trucks and other items, including additional orders received in March.
As it had been planned earlier, on 23 April the finishing production of the automobile plant delivered to KAMAZ Trade and financial Company, special equipment plants and assemblies abroad the last vehicles and chassis towards this month.
According to the information provided by KAMAZ Production Management Department, 2388 trucks and kits will be assembled in April, and 2508 units of equipment will be delivered in all as it was planned.
During the month day after day there was being fulfilled the schedule of assembly, finish and shipping of trucks. Procurement, machining process units of plants and other KAMAZ services in time provided the mother assembly conveyor of the automobile plant with all kinds of components, metal and materials.
7512 trucks and kits were produced for four months of 2009. The current assembly plan is overfulfilled by 179 units, and the delivery plan – by 88 units of equipment. It should be recalled that in 2009 production of KAMAZ performs only customers’ available and additional orders and doesn’t manufacture made-to-stock vehicles, sequentially cutting all kinds of expenses and costs.
In accordance with Russian Federation Government Decree No. 873 dated November 21, 2008, "On Measures for Realization of Russian Presidential Decree No. 1052 dated July 10, 2008”, equities of KAMAZ Inc. owned by the Russian Federation were given to Rostekhnologii on April 14, 2009.
Rostekhnologii (State-Owned Corporation for Assistance to Development, Production and Export of Advanced Technology Industrial Product "Russian Technologies") holds a 37.78% stake in Kamaz.
