PM Tymoshenko Reports on Implementation of Anti-Crisis Program
OREANDA-NEWS. On April 23, 2009 Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko held a meeting with the staff of the Silski Visti (Rural News) newspaper. During the communication with the collective Yulia Tymoshenko told about activity of the Government, in particular about the process of implementation of the anti-crisis program.
Yulia Tymoshenko stressed the Government pays maximum efforts on a daily basis to search for the mechanisms to overcome the fallouts of the global financial crunch. The Premier assured the Government gradually implements the bail-out program and it gives positive results. Notably, according to her, measures are taken directed to curbing the crisis with regards to diversification of energy sources, reform of housing and communal services, support of various branches of industry and agrarian sector.
The Premier underlined nowadays in Ukrainian economy rather positive tendencies are being observed. So, the State Budget is being overfulfilled by 1-3% and it is not at the account of increase of tax load but owing to deshadowing of the national economics.
Besides, according to Yulia Tymoshenko, the plan of incomes of the Pension Fund is also overfulfilled stably. She emphasized the seniors receive the pensions timely and in full amount, despite the complicated situation.
The Head of Government accentuated recently positive dynamics has been observed in industrial production either: notably, February against January demonstrated growth of industrial output at 5.4%, while March against February – 4.8%. She added the growth has been observed in all economy branches, at this, being up to 80%in certain areas. “All these are optimistic signals that we are succeeding in curbing the crisis. But there is a great work ahead to make these sprouts grow into a sustainable tendency,” Yulia Tymoshenko urged.
