OREANDA-NEWS. On April 21, 2009 The Vitebsk branch of our bank has won the ‘Best Entrepreneur’ regional contest in the ‘Best Bank Providing Services to Entrepreneurs’ nomination, reported the press-centre of Belgazprombank.

The branch was awarded the main prize of the contest – the Dvina River Star statuette. Head of the region, Alexander Kosinets handed this prestigious award to the branch director, Tamara Gaiduk.

Our Vitebsk-based counterparts showed very good performance in 2008, their services enjoyed high demand from private businesses.

Mr. Kosinets said in his speech that private business occupies an important place in the region’s socio-economic development. Entrepreneurs run businesses in a wide range of fields including industry, construction, utility services, health care, education, agriculture and roadside services. Business initiatives are vital for development of small towns and rural areas.

The Vitebsk regional executive committee supports entrepreneurs and awards the most successful businesses. Fourteen private companies won this year’s contest in fourteen nominations and another eighteen were awarded the nominee titles.
