OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2009. Realization of anti-crisis program of the Government has enabled to shorten arrears of wages to the employees of state enterprises by 32.5%. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed, starting a Government’s session.

“We are observing system, stable shortening of arrears. From beginning of year debts in payments of salaries on the state enterprises have reduced by 32.5%,” Yulia Tymoshenko disclosed. She added it is the result of joint work of the Government and General Prosecutor of Ukraine. 

The Premier also drew attention to the fact that arrears of wages are shortening on private enterprises either: “Owing to the joint activity of General Prosecutor, local authorities and private owners, arrears have shortened by 26.5% from beginning of the month. These are rather significant showings which is a proof of gradual recovery from fallouts of the world financial crunch”.

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, improvement of the situation in economics of the state has proved possible owing to persistent implementation of the Government’s bail-out program. “Anti-crisis measures of the Government are fulfilled on a daily basis, which yield the results,” Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized.
