OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 April 2009 Rostelecom  (NYSE: ROS; RTS and MICEX: RTKM, RTKMP), Russia’s national telecommunications operator, announced the decision of the company’s board of directors to convene Rostelecom’s annual general shareholders meeting on the results of 2008.

According to a decision of the Board of Directors, the annual general shareholders meeting of Rostelecom is scheduled for May 30, 2009 and will be held in the Training and Business Center of Rostelecom at the following address: village of Bekasovo, Naro-Fominsk district, Moscow region.

The Board of Directors also set the record date, i.e. to determine the list of persons eligible to attend the annual general shareholders meeting on the results of 2008 (the date on which the register closes) as April 14, 2009.
