VTB Bank Donates to Filatov Clinical Hospital
OREANDA-NEWS. On April 15, 2009 acting under World Without Tears corporate charity program, VTB Bank donated resuscitation and intensive care equipment to Filatov Children’s Clinical Hospital No.13, reported the press-centre of VTB Bank.
Annually, nearly 250 children are at different stages of artificial lung ventilation, with 80% of the patients being newly born children.
Taking into account hospital needs in modern medical products, VTB Bank financed purchasing the Italian equipment from Siare company. It consists of portative apparatus for artificial lung ventilation, a bedside monitor, syringe and infusion pumps and other units.
The apparatus for artificial lung ventilation is to be used in resuscitation units, ambulance cars, intensive care wards, and disaster medicine, as resuscitation units must be ready for different clinical situations. The new equipment will help doctors increase treatment efficiency and avoid complications.
The patients also received an unusual present. Stars of Russian show business such as Dmitry Malikov, Tatiana Navka, Yuliya Nachalova, Alexander Revva, Slava, Anfisa Chekhova, Olga Arntgolts, Marat Basharov, Egor Beroev, Glyukoza, Konstantin Dzhyu, Anastasiya Zavorotnyuk, Natalia Koroleva and Irina Lobacheva, together with their own children, draw pictures and made a unique coloring book.
On 15 April, such stars as Marina Lizorkina form Serebro group, Eugenia Malakhova from Reflex group and Anastasiya Grebenkina, Bronze World Cup winner in figure skating visited the Filatov Hospital to present this coloring book to children. Besides, the hospital hosted a children’s holiday with the participation of characters form Good night, kids! TV show and also Vladimir Shchukin, a children’s composer, who are the old friends of World Without Tears program.

World Without Tears is a long-term and targeted charity program, which has been held by VTB Bank since 2003. It is aimed at supporting healthcare institutions for children. Under the program, VTB provides direct financing to purchase expensive equipment, medicines and expendable materials for children’s hospitals.
Acting within the Program, VTB has already provided support to children’s hospitals of Moscow, St.Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok and Kazan.
