OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 April 2009 was announced, that Auchan (France) and Furshet (Ukraine) postponed start of the project of the construction of a shopping centers chain in Ukraine for a minimum one year because of the financial crisis.

“Everybody is waiting for an Autumn to understand how the market will be developed”, - said Igor Bolenko, CEO of Furshet. He also added that if the situation will not be stabilized in 2010 they will continue to wait.

 In March 2007, Auchan and Furshet created two JVs for the development of Auchan hypermarkets and chain of shopping centers.
