OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 April 2009 was announced, that all 25 five-storey homes located in neighbourhood 14 of Golovino township, northern Moscow, are to be demolished and the new skyscrapers will go up instead.

According to a press service of Moscow’s northern administrative district, the reconstruction of neighbourhood 14 provides for taking down 25 five-storey residential buildings on Kronshtadtsky Boulevard, Onezhskaya and Flotskaya streets.

The source added that all the homes to be demolished would be substituted for the type and individual dwelling houses ranging from 12 to 24 storeys in height.

A time frame for the demolition will be specified by the special order of City Hall as some more neighbourhoods are to be added in the township layout.

Besides, the reconstruction project of neighbourhood 14 includes construction of the 300-capacity adjacent accommodation of school No 596, 3 kindergartens, each to accommodate 110 children, and a new clinic for adults.
