BIB Takes Part in United Nations Environment Programme
OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2009. In April 2009 Baltic International Bank joined the United Nations Environment Programme – The Billion Tree Campaign, reported the press-centre of Baltic International Bank.
Under the Billion Tree Campaign the UN is encouraging people, communities, organizations, business and industry, civil society and governments to contribute to preservation and protection of natural resources. The objective of the campaign is to plant at least seven billion trees worldwide in year 2009.
In terms of current economic, politic and ecological events the Bank would like to make its strong contribution to promotion of different ideas that in future will facilitate the stabilization and improvement of modern society organization principles.
Employees of the Bank are going to plant trees and roses in one of Riga’s parks in May.
