OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2009. In early April the Tver car building factory (TVZ) delivered to Kazakhstan Republic the first seven special-purpose cars for railway transportation of the containers with nuclear fuel wastes (WNF) and the cars to escort them, reported the press-centre of TVZ.

In particular, the Kazakhstan customers will receive five traverse cars of Model ТМ 4-3 and two escort-cars of Model 61-4174.05.

The contracts for supply these products were signed by the parties in October, 2007 and August, 2008.

Car Model ТМ 4-3 is designed for transportation of one container УКХ-123 with waste nuclear fuel as a part of a special freight train with running speed no more than 90 km/h.

This new service car has a Certificate of Compliance granted by Certification Register of the Federal Railway Transport (RS FZhT) in 2008. The acceptance tests of TM 4-3 were performed along with active participation of KATEP Co, LLP, the concerned Kazakhstan organization engaged in nuclear materials. The granted paper allows to run a special –purpose rolling-stock manufactured in Tver in the territory of CIS countries.
