OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 April 2009 was announced, that in the territory of Ukraine there is a legal entity ZAO SK Ingosstrakh (Dnepropetrovsk). Its short company name coincides with the company name of Ingosstrakh IJSC (Russian Federation). Lately, there has been some negative coverage of the Ukrainian insurer in some mass media and web portals. Open Joint-Stock Insurance Company Ingosstrakh  officially reiterates that ZAO SK Ingosstrakh has no relation to the Russian insurer. 

Currently, the economic court of Kiev considers the action from Ingosstrakh IJSC against ZAO SK Ingosstrakh (Dnepropetrovsk) and State Department of Intellectual Property of Ukraine about illegal use of  the brand name of the Russian insurer issued to ZAO SK Ingosstrakh. Ingosstrakh IJSC also filed a notice of claim to recognize bad faith competition on behalf of the Ukrainian company to the economic court of the Dnepropetrovsk region. 

In Kiev there is now the representation of the Ingosstrakh IJSC (Russia), as well as its affiliated company, ZAO ASK INGO Ukraine, which makes part of the group of companies and represents the interests of Ingosstrakh IJSC (Russia) in the area of insurance.
