OREANDA-NEWS. April 14, 2009. At the end of the first quarter of current year there were 121 credit institutions including 12 banks, 7 credit societies, 1 non-banking financial institution and 101 micro financing institutions operating in the country, reported the press-centre of NBT.

For this period the number of banks, credit societies, non-banking financial institutions remained the same and the number of micro financing institutions increased for 8 units.
