OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 April 2009 was announced, that some 250,000-300,000 square metres of social residential buildings are to be erected in eastern Moscow this year.

According to the prefecture of Moscow’s eastern administrative district, though the development of commercial buildings speeds down, the plans for social housing development remain the same. It is planned to erect 250,000-300,000 square metres of housing and to proceed with the reconstruction of five-storey homes in neighbourhood 1-2 of Goliyanovo township at the expense of Moscow’s budget in 2009.

Besides, reconstruction will be carried out within Bogorodskoe township, construction will be initiated in neighbourhoods 47, 48, 49 of Northern Izmaylovo township. New homes will be developed on the sites in Sokolinaya Gora, Izmaylovo and Bogorodskoe townships previously occupied by the dilapidated structures which have been demolished.

The municipal authorities of eastern Moscow promise to have 4 kindergartens and 3 sports and fitness centres built in the district in 2009.

As a reminder, almost 250,000 square metres of social homes were developed in the eastern administrative district of Moscow in 2008.
