FAS Analyzed Markets of Services of Retail Sales of Medicines
OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) analyzed the markets of the services of retail sales of medicines, medical products and related products in 2007 and identified numerous economic entities with the signs of dominance on the local markets (within the boundaries of towns and municipalities), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
FAS Russia instructed its regional offices to include economic entities that control over 35% of the goods markets in municipalities and towns in the Regional Registers of economic entities that control over 35% of the relevant markets and report to FAS Russia about the results by 1st May 2009.
17 regional offices of FAS Russia (Adygeya, Altai (krai), Karachaevo-Cherkessia, Komi, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Magadan, Mai El, Mordovia, Murmansk, Novogirid, Perm', Primorye, Saratov, Tula, Khakassia and Chelyabinsk) have already reported on including pharmacies in the Regional Registers.
According to the regional offices of FAS Russia, 178 economic entities that control more that 35% of the retail markets of medicines, medical products and related products are already included in the Regional Registers.
Of them, 80 economic entities are owned by the state or municipalities and 98 -are private companies.
