Victor Yushenko Visited Classroom Supported by AZEL
OREANDA-NEWS. April 14, 2009. President Victor Yushchenko and his wife Kateryna Yushchenko met with students and faculty of Baku Slavic University.
Speaking at the event President Yushchenko said that it is very important for Ukraine that there is a university in Baku, where students learn our country’s history, culture and language. He thanked the faculty for their work saying that “today we saw seeds that in years will bring together our nations even closer together”.
In the frame of meeting President Yushenko together with Slavic Univeristy’s rector Kamal Abdullayev inspected computer classroom that was donated to the students by the Ukrainian Embassy in Azerbaijan under support of the leading IT company AZEL (Azerbaijan Electronics). As it was noted by Igor Yakovenko, chairman of supervisory board AZEL, “computer classroom provided with modern desktop computers Lazer Pro. The main purpose of this classroom is to teach ukrainian language using networking and multimedia technologies. AZEL company is honoured to make its contribution to deepening and strengthening relations between Ukrainian and Azerbaijan people and hope that IT technologies will help to students improve the quality of language learning”.
Victor Yushchenko stressed that Ukraine and Azerbaijan put much importance in development of humanitarian ties. “There is no single issue in Ukraine that was not resolved in favor of Azerbaijani community”, - said Victor Yushchenko pointing to good relations between nations of the two states.
