Ukrainian State Customs Service Overfulfills Plan of Revenues
OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2009. In the first quarter of 2009 the State Customs Service of Ukraine has earned UAH 20 bn 991 mn to be sent to the State Budget and overfulfilled the estimated showings by 112.2%. The head of the State Customs Service Anatoii Makarenko announced during the briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers.
“The state plan of revenues has been fulfilled and overfulfilled by 12%,” Anatolii Makarenko noted.
According to him, the sum of UAH 16 bn 171 mn has been transferred into the general fund of the budget, which is 92.5% of the plan. While incomes to the special fund have amounted UAH 4 bn 812 mn, which is 392% of the planned showing.
At this, the head of the State Customs Service underlined the first quarter of 2009 was arduous and was characterized by a number of peculiarities, such as the influence of the world financial crisis. Anatolii Makarenko disclosed the amount of import has decreased more than twofold in the first quarter of 2009.
“The import of goods into Ukraine, not taking into account the amounts of natural gas and oil, has equaled 7.3 million tons while in the first quarter of 2008 this showing was 15.7 million tons,” Anatolii Makarenko said.
Together with that, the head of the State Customs expressed assurance that the tendency towards reviving of foreign economic activity started in March will give chance to advance filling the budget.
