OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 April 2009 was announced, that the Minster of Economic Development of Italy Claudio Scajola, Vice Minister of Energy of Russian Federation V. Yu. Siniugin, Ambassador of Italy in Russia V. Claudio Surdo, Minister of Energy and Public Household Utilities of the Sverdlovsk oblast Y.P. Shevelev, President of Enel Piero Gnudi, General Director Fulvio Conti, General Director of LLC Enel Rus and Country Manager of Enel in Russia and CIS, Chairman of the Board of Directors  of JSC OGK-5 Dominique Fache, General Director of JSC OGK-5 A.Y. Kopsov, visited Sredneuralskaya GRES to check the progress of 410-CCGT construction.

Despite the economical crisis Enel  and  OGK-5  fulfill the obligations  on commissioning  of the new generating capacities, as stated in the Wholesale market capacity supply contract by consistently  implementing the program for the construction of 2 CCGTs unites,  410 MW  at Nevinnomisskaja and 410 MW at Sredneuralskaja.

General Director of JSC OGK-5 A.Y. Kopsov informed the representatives of the Government of Russia and Italy, Governor of the Sverdlovsk oblast as well as Enel’s top management about the progress of construction and planned commissioning date of the first combined cycle gas turbine unit in IV quarter 2010 at Sredneuralskaya GRES.

410-CCGT commissioning will allow to increase technical and economic and environmental indicators of the power plant, its efficiency and competitiveness on the wholesale energy market as well as to create the required reserve of generating capacities for the modernization of the existing equipment of SUGRES. The cost of 410-CCGT construction will total around 350 mln. EUR.
