OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2009. The Machine-Building Concern ORMETO-YUMZ, an enterprise of the Uralmash Machine-Building Corporation, started the shipping of the components of the mule TC-50 for the Indian steel plant. In compliance with the contract signed in June 2008, ORMETO-YUMZ will supply two mules and a car dumper to India in March-April 2009. The total weight of equipment will be 121 tons.

The contract provides for design and manufacture of mules for the bulk plant (ore, coal). The equipment will be produced in cooperation with the Indian company MoNally Bharat Eng. Co. Ltd., which manufactures some components designed by ORMETO-YUMZ.

On the customer's request, ORMETO-YUMZ for the first time designed a higher-horsepower mule TC-50. It is intended for transfer of coupled cars to the stationary car dumper. As compared to the prior model TC-20, the horsepower of the new six-axle mule is twice as high (50 tons). The six-axle design of the new equipment improves its wheel-rail adhesion. The new mule model is easy-to-drive and reliable in operation.

The specialists of ORMETO-YUMZ started designing and manufacture of mules in the middle of nineties. The equipment demonstrated excellent performance, it is used both at Russian enterprises (in Murmansk, Cheliabinsk, Nizhny Taguil, Cherepovets, etc.) and at the enterprises of CIS countries.
