OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2009. Two low temperature liquid containers (flox and liquid nitrogen) have been acquired for a new air separation unit КА-27/5 installed at OAO “Tulachermet” . OOO “Monitoring” (Moscow), which is an authorized representative of the Italian company-producer “VRV”, has won a tender to supply the equipment.

The price of a container (volume 65 cubic meters) is 215 940 Euro. Air separation unit КА-27/5 and BF#1 (that is going to be rebuilt) will be set into operation simultaneously. At the moment disassembling is being executed at BF#1. Setting into operation of air separation unit КА-27/5 will allow to increase oxygen concentration in blast furnace air and consequently to reduce production costs.
