Russia’s Federal Budget Executed with RUB 50.48 bn Deficit
OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2009. Russia’s federal budget was executed with a RUB 50.48 bn deficit in January-March 2009, or 0.6% of GDP, MinFin said in a press release. On the revenue side, the budget received RUB 1,729.94 bn, or 15.8% of the surplus of the effective 2009 budget, and cash execution of expenses amounted to RUB 1,780.42 bn, or 19.1% of the adjusted plan for the year.
According to preliminary estimates, the federal budget in January-March showed a primary surplus of RUB 13.39 bn, or 0.2% of GDP. 3M 2009 GDP came in at RUB 8,229 bn. The Federal Tax Service collected RUB 734.22 bn in January-March, or 11.7% of the target. The Federal Property Management Agency generated RUB 5.04 bn, or 8.2%, with RUB 335.63 bn (98.8%) falling to other federal bodies.
