OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2009. ROSNO’s Chelyabinsk branch has reimbursed the Shantarinsky Production Complex under the property insurance contract for the grain damaged by the natural disaster. The insurance compensation equalled 1,841,200 roubles, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.   

The property insurance contract was concluded with the Shantarinsky Production Complex in April 2007, being subsequently extended in 2008. The insurance protection applied to the grain stored at the warehouse and at outdoor sites. The contract covered the grain against the following risks: fire, lightning stroke, storm, hail, other natural disasters; and deliberate third-party actions aimed at damaging the insured property.

The insured grain was damaged by natural disaster: during the hurricane, it was partially flooded by rain and partially blown away from outdoor sites by wind.
