OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 April 2009 was announced, that within the limits of the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental committee on cooperation in field of aviation building of Russia and Ukraine, representatives of Aviakor aviation plant JSС and ANTONOV ASTC agreed complex interaction in sphere of modernization, production, promotion to the market and service of AN-140-100 aircraft.

     Cooperation of two companies will include the following directions:

Modernization and development of AN-140-100 aircraft on the basis of experience in operation of two first airplanes by “Yakutia” airlines;

Development of aftersale maintenance of the aircraft to the world standars;

Development of vendor items;

Design of the modern simulator for flight crew training;

Deep study of the market and development of business-plan of design of ramp version of the aircarft.

     “AN-140 airplanes produced by our plant have already recommended themselves being operated by “Yakutia” airlines. Jointly with ANTONOV ASTC we intend to bring out the service maintenance of such aircraft to a higher level and satisfy the maximum expectations of our customers”, - said Mr. Vyacheslav Artemiev, Director General of Aviakor.

     Mr. Dmytro Kiva, ANTONOV ASTC General Designer, President of Antonov Aircraft Building Concern noted that the enterprise headed by him, studied in details the experience of AN-140 operation in Russia. Based on the received data it continues to improve basic construction and starts development of the aircraft new versions.
