Gazprom Neft Delivered 2400 Tons of Base Oil to Bulgaria
OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 April 2009 was announced, that 40 railroad tank cars of lubricants under the Gazprom Neft trademark were delivered to Bulgaria upon the maiden voyage of the Avangard ferry along the Kavkaz-Varna route. The cargo is destined for the Bulgarian company Prista Oil and is made up of high quality base oils that meet international quality specifications - SN.
The delivery of the initial batch of Gazprom Neft lubricants to Bulgaria was made within the framework of the opening of the international railway ferry line Kavkaz-Varna. The decision to organize a regular ferry route between the Kavkaz and Varna ports was made on 18 January 2009 and was formally established by an Agreement between the transportation ministries of the Russian Federation and Republic of Bulgaria.
“The delivery of oils to Bulgaria is in accordance with our plan to increase the share of refined oil products in our export structure. In 2008 the company sold over 80 thousand tons of lubricants just to Europe, - said Alexander Dyukov, the Chairman of the Management Board at JSC Gazprom Neft – this year we plan to increase the volume of exports of high-tech products that meet international quality standards”.
Gazpromneft-Lubricants LLC is a subsidiary of JSC Gazprom Neft. The company has been operating since February 2008. Gazpromneft-Lubricants LLC’s assortment of products includes around 100 different oils that are sold under the Gazprom Neft and SibiMotor brands.
JSC Gazprom Neft has set ambitious goals for the development of its oils business and for taking up leading positions in the Russian lubricants market.
According to Gazpromneft-Lubricants LLC’s development strategy till 2020, by 2010-11, the company plans to occupy 15% of the packaged oils market and become one of the leading players in the specialized market – first of all, in the segment of high-tech packaged oil for light and commercial transport vehicles.
